Ron Donachie
Patron

Ron Donachie was born in Dundee, went to school in St. Andrews and university in Glasgow. He has worked all over Britain, Ireland and mainland Europe, as well as the United States, Canada, Mexico, India and South Korea. He has appeared in over sixty stage plays, played over one hundred and fifty characters in film and television pieces, and performed in many radio dramas. Highlights include: Titanic, Tutti Frutti, Game of Thrones, his radio performances as John Rebus and being a founder member of the Flying Pickets a capella singing group. He’s been a dog lover all his life.
Hannah Miley MBE
Patron

Hannah Miley MBE is one of Britain’s most decorated and admired swimmers, celebrated for her incredible achievements and longevity in the sport. Over a remarkable 17-year international career, she represented Great Britain at three Olympic Games (Beijing 2008, London 2012, and Rio 2016) and Scotland at three Commonwealth Games. She is best known for her dominance in the 400m Individual Medley, where she won gold at the 2010 and 2014 Commonwealth Games, as well as two European Championship titles and held the European Record for that event.
Hannah also achieved success on the world stage, becoming world champion winning at the World Short Course Championships and taking silver and bronze medals at the World Long Course Championships. She became a 13-time British champion
and set multiple national records, cementing herself as one of the most versatile and consistent medley swimmers in British history. Her dedication, resilience, and meticulous attention to detail earned her the nickname "Smiley Miley" for her infectious positivity and fierce determination.
Since retiring in 2021, Hannah has remained a leading figure in sport, advocating for athlete welfare, women in sport, and mental health awareness. A devoted supporter of animal therapy, she is now proud to become a Patron for Therapet, where she will help promote the charity's mission to improve lives through the unique and healing bond between humans and animals.
